1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Nuqsaf ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Nuqsaf is a financial intelligence tool that connects to your bank accounts via Plaid, analyzes transaction data for interest and dividend income, and generates reports to help you understand your riba exposure. Nuqsaf is currently in private preview.

Important Disclaimer

Nuqsaf does not provide religious rulings (fatwa), financial advice, tax advice, or legal advice. Reports generated by Nuqsaf are based on a documented methodology that uses AI-based classification. The methodology is under peer review and pending formal scholarly endorsement. You should verify any report with a qualified Islamic scholar (alim) before acting on it.

Nuqsaf's classifications are informational. A transaction labeled "needs purification" is the product's assessment based on its methodology, not a religious judgment. You are responsible for your own religious obligations.

3. Account and Access

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Bank Account Connection

Nuqsaf connects to your financial institutions through Plaid, Inc. By using the Service, you authorize Plaid to access your financial data on our behalf. Nuqsaf receives read-only access to your transaction history. We cannot and do not initiate transactions, transfers, or any money movement on your behalf.

5. Data Handling

Your financial data is:

• Encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption
• Read-only — we never modify your bank data
• Auto-deleted — transaction data is deleted 14 months after your last report generation
• Never sold — your data is never shared with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes

6. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Pricing is displayed before purchase. During private preview, the following refund policy applies:

• Unconditional refund within 7 days of purchase
• Pro-rated refund after 7 days if the report cannot be generated due to technical issues
• Free regeneration if you find an error in your report within 30 days

7. AI Classification

Nuqsaf uses AI (specifically, Anthropic's Claude language model) to assist in classifying transactions. AI classifications are subject to error. You review and confirm every classification before a final report is generated. Nuqsaf is not responsible for errors in AI classification that you confirm.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEXOBE, INC. SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: ERRORS IN TRANSACTION CLASSIFICATION, INCORRECT PURIFICATION AMOUNTS, TAX CONSEQUENCES OF ACTING ON REPORTS, OR SPIRITUAL CONSEQUENCES OF RELYING ON THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific report or service that gave rise to the claim.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in the State of Delaware, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive the right to participate in class actions.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.
